About the Finance and ICT Directorate

The Finance Directorate incorporates both Finance and Digital Systems:

Finance has four service areas, namely:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Treasury Management
  • Financial Reporting
  • Financial Transactions

Digital Systems has two service areas, namely:

  • DS Development and Management
  • DS Infrastructure Management
Team

There are currently 11 team members in Finance and 4 in Digital Systems.

The priority of both teams is to adhere to statutory and regulatory obligations, maintain best-practice and deliver exceptional service to the wider business and its stakeholders.

This is done through keeping abreast of latest developments, innovation/improvement and listening to the needs and wants of our many interested parties.

Background
  • We have a diverse team, some are long standing and some are relatively new.
  • We look after each other and believe in a team effort for delivery.
  • Empowerment is an important value where everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their tasks and to speak-up when ways of working or service levels can be improved.
The Future

There’s loads to do and get stuck in to: 

  • Workday – our new FP&A tool is brand new and needs embracing.
  • Purchase-to-Pay – We need to invest and roll out a P2P system.
  • Reporting – the way we report the Group’s financial performance needs a rethink to make it more meaningful.
  • Housing Management System – our single most important system needs dedicated DS resource to unleash its full capability.
  • Cyber security – there’s work to do to ensure we punch above our weight when it comes to the integrity of our digital infrastructure.
