An overview from our Chair, David Birch
The Board is very grateful for the work and commitment from our current Executive Director for Finance, and we wish him the very best. The last few years have been testing for both our customer base and teams. Covid, Brexit, global supply chain disruptions and changing regulations have formed a big part of our Board and Committees governance landscape.
Through these events we have enjoyed a great working relationship with the finance directorate to help manage the businesses through change and changing financial landscapes. There is no doubt that the digital world is also in a period of rapid evolution, the Board is excited by the opportunities digital technology can bring to our customers and business effectiveness but are equally connected to the need for data security.
We have recently introduced a number of strategic board meetings to our calendar to allow Board and senior teams to focus on longer term planning. We have all found these sessions rewarding and necessary to ensure the Group remains flexible and agile, as we all know … the only thing we can confidently predict is that change is constant!
The Boards and Committees are firmly committed to our DNA of trust, working together and ensuring our team are empowered to ‘get things done,’ these values remain the foundations for all of us to deliver the right customer outcomes as effectively as we can. Together we will continue to connect and engage with our customers to make sure all our Group outcomes are ‘creating better living solutions’.
On behalf of the ateb Group Boards and Committees, we look forward to hearing how you can make a difference with us.
